Michael “Mike” Alan Cobb, 67, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. A Celebration of His Life will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park with the Rev. Danny Lyles officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Mike was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Ellis Frank and Johnnie Guilford Cobb. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Charles Anthony Cobb and his fur babies, Wilson, Scotty, Jackson, Sweet Pea and Teddy. Mike was a graduate of Southwest High School Class of 1975. Mike retired from Construction Specialties and was formerly employed by YKK USA Inc. and the Bibb Company. He was of the Baptist faith. Mike enjoyed racing hot rods, cars and trucks, he raced with NHRA and the Dixie Pro Stock and also at the Warner Robins Drag Way. He was a devoted and loving family man and friend to all his hot rod buddies.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia (Russell) Slade, brother, Steve (Brenda) Cobb, ex-wife, Janet Young, nieces and nephews, Jeremy Cobb, Chenoa White, Nicholas Slade, Tori Slade, special friend Shannon Smith.
