I’ve known Mike and his wonderful family since 1976. Everyone loved Mike! His sense of humor, warm smiles, upbeat attitude and willingness to help others endeared him to many. I was a young teacher, back in the day, and Mike assisted with many school projects. He built a puppet stage which was used at church and school for over 30 years. We took a very excited little special needs boy to Six Flags once,  and the child fell sound asleep the minute we entered the park. I can still envision Mike carrying that sleeping child on his shoulders the entire day! Mike was a gifted artist and could paint beautiful pictures of old barns and scenic landscapes, always seeing the beauty in the ordinary. Most of all, Mike had a spiritual connection with his Heavenly Father, which brings joy in the homecoming, but much sorrow in his loss. May Dixie and Randy find comfort knowing Mike is now resting in the glory of God’s embrace, safe in the arms of Jesus.❤️

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends.  I knew Mike for many years - back to our younger years at Midway Baptist Church.  May the memories comfort you in the days to come.

Mike was a great friend and neighbor for over 30 years. He was always there in case of need to offer a helping hand, loan a tractor, a room from the storms. Mikes compassion giving and ability to give to others will be remembered. May he be at peace now as his time has closed. We love you Mike.

Dixie and Randy,

I will always know Mike as the gentleman he was.  Whenever we would talk, his sense of humor could make me laugh until my stomach hurt. He always had a story  to tell, and I was gullible enough to fall for many of them.  

He had a positive outlook on life no matter his situation.  I pray  you both find comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain.
