Mona Mae Causey Merriman, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 28, 2026. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Bruce Merriman officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Mona was born on January 19, 1930, to the late John T. and Stella Mae Dewberry Causey. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Merriman and her son, James Victor Merriman, two brothers, John T. Causey and Jesse R. Causey and two sisters, Betty Joyce Poulos and Lucy Jeanette Humbert. Mona retired from Sears and Roebuck after many years of service. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and enjoyed planting and growing beautiful flowers.
She is survived by her siblings, Janice Norris of Forsyth, Frank (June) Causey of Lawrenceville, Sandra Jewell (Danny) Skinner of Villa Rica, granddaughter, Ashley and great granddaughter, Shelby and several nieces and nephews.
