EATONTON – Nancy Starr Smith Simmons Ragan, 57, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Paul Dziadul will officiate. The family will meet friends from 10 a.m. to service time on Friday.
Ms. Ragan, daughter of the late Howard Styles Smith, was born in Macon and was a graduate of Southwest High School. A homemaker, she was of the Baptist faith and preceded in death by her brother, Carlton Howard Smith.
Survivors include her children, Melissa Starr Sauls, Virginia Marie Simmons, Jason Raymond Simmons, all of Macon; grandson, Christopher Goff; mother, Leila Mae Smith Meeks; brother, Steve (Paula) Smith, Warner Robins; sister, Pam (James) Hunnicutt, Eatonton; nieces and nephews.
