Rev. Ommie Evelyn Moncrief, 81, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, December 2, 2016. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 4 at 11:30 a.m. at the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Moncrief officiating. Burial will follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Rev. Moncrief was born in Macon to the late Orman Edward and Annie Laurie Alkeridge Johnson. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Laurie Elizabeth Sander Moncrief. Rev. Moncrief retired from Robins Air Force Base where she worked as a Supply Clerk.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Angus A. Moncrief; children, Sara (Rodney) Stalvey, Charlene Pollard, Mark Moncrief, Samuel (Elaine) Moncrief, Timothy Moncrief; ten grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; sister, Geneva Storey; and several nieces and nephews.
