

MACON-Phillip Jackson Lemon, 66, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to all that knew him, died Friday, June 17, 2011. Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Reverend Stephen N. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Funeral Home. Mr. Lemon was born in Macon to the late Mozelle Frances Hunt Lemon and Andrew Jackson Lemon. He was past president of the Prattville, AL Chamber of Commerce, past member of the Exchange Club of Macon and the Kiwanis Club in Montgomery, AL. Mr. Lemon was retired after 36 years from the banking industry and was the co-owner of Jennoely’s Pizzeria in Historic Downtown Macon.
Mr. Lemon is survived by his wife of 26 years: Kathy Smith Lemon of Macon; Children: Phillip Matthew “Matt” Lemon of Macon, Angela Lemon (Rodney) George of Anchorage, AK, Christopher “Chris” David (Betty) Hill of Spangdahem, Germany and Tammy (Mike) Terry; 4 Grandchildren: Hunter and Payton George and Brodie and Charles Hill; several siblings, Andrew (Janice) Lemon of Centerville, GA, Frances Spillers of Macon, and Martha Jackson of Macon, father and mother in-law, Retired Chief Master Sergeant Donald (Joyce) Smith of Prattville, AL, sister-in-laws, Jennifer Smith (Bob Pyle) of Clinton NJ, and Rachel (Barry) Tuner of Ooltewah, TN and numerous devoted nieces and nephews.
