

Randall “Randy” Pierce Thompson, 48, passed on Monday, February 3, 2014 after a brief illness. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1624 Williamson Road, Macon GA. The family will meet friends following the service.
Randy was born in Macon, Georgia to the late William D. Thompson and Leola Pierce Thompson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Henry C. and Robbie Pierce and W.K. and Edna Thompson. Randy was a graduate of Tattnall Square Academy Class of 1984, a graduate of Macon State College Class of 1998 with an associate degree, a graduate of Georgia College Class of 1990 with a Bachelor of Science and a graduate from Mercer University Class of 1996 with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering. Randy was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was self-employed trading stock. Randy was the sunshine of his mother’s life and a devoted son, brother and friend to everyone.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Leola Pierce Thompson of Macon, brother, Dr. William “Danny” Thompson (Janna) Chattanooga, TN, aunts, Betty Scarbary, of Lizella, Nelle (Billy) Gresham, Dot Schrimshire of Macon, great aunt, Emma Joiner of Macon, cousins, Donna (Stan) Ethridge, Vicki (Brian) Grimsley, Kelly (Gary) Stone, James (Eva) Schrimshire and Mike (Winser) Scarbary.
