Richard Earl Land, Elder, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, went to sleep in death on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A celebration of his life and service will be held in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Entombment in Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mr. Dale Gonzelez will officiate. The family will meet friends from 12:30 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Earl Land, 79, son of the late Tommie Allen Land and Sarah Wright Land, was a lifelong resident of Macon. He was the retired owner of Sav-Tax Service, Inc. First in his life were his family and his faith. He was spiritual minded and had served as an elder at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Westgate Congregation. His greatest joy was in serving Jehovah and helping his fellow mankind.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of twenty-four years, Sandra H. Land of Macon; his children, Andrea (Pat) Jackson of Dawsonville, Allen (Lori) Land of Greenville, SC, Amanda (Ronnie) Kozan of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Kendra (Mike) Spillers of Macon and Joel (Rhonda) Dawson of Macon; numerous and beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother Jack Land of Macon and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
