

MACON – Robert “Bob” F. Foy, Sr., 86, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 22, 2012 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. John Beck and Elder Daniel Bryant will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the funeral home. They suggest that those who wish make memorial contributions to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 4600 Mercer University Drive, Macon 31204.
Mr. Foy, son of the late Henry Wesley Foy, Sr. and Sara Johnson Foy, was born in Macon where he had lived his entire life. He was a foreman retired from Dixie Metal and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty seven years, Norma Anne Foy, grandson, Dewayne Arnold and by his brother, Henry Wesley Foy, Jr. Mr. Foy was devoted to his family and was most happy spending time with them.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth G. Ray of Macon; his children, Bobby (Pam) Foy and Nancy Foy Batson, all of Macon and Billy (Bert) Foy of Lizella; his beloved grandchildren, Irwin Foy, Clay Batson, Kevin Batson and Wendy Batson; his great grandchildren, Hadyn Arnold Weeks, Millen Dean Batson and Wesley Dean Batson; his niece, Donna Foy Johnson; his nephew, Steve Foy; sister-in-law, Inez Foy; stepchildren, Nancy Chafin, Elaine Ray and Tony (Georja) Ray; step grandchildren, Chris Chafin, Emily (Raymond) Gutierrez, and Rachael, Sarah and Jordan Ray; step great grandchildren, Austin and Kaden Gutierrez.
