

Robert E. Mosely, 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 28, 2017. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at First Evangelical Church. Burial will be at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Long and Rev. Danny Lyles officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Robert was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Arthur W. and Alma Reed Mosely. He was preceded in death by three brothers, A.W. Mosely, Joe Mosely, and Wayne Mosely. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Robert was retired from Brown and Williamson as a Master Electrician. He was an active member of First Evangelical Church for over fifty five years serving in various ministries; Sunday School Teacher, Trustee, Board of Stewards, Building Committee, Prayer Breakfast and was a member of the Believing Crusaders Sunday School Class. Robert was a member of the Lyons Club, he was a Mason, avid reader including reading his Bible through each year, loved music, and camping and traveling with his family. He was a devoted Christian husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his wife of sixty five years, Catherine Childree Mosely of Lizella, three sons; Robert L. (Donna) Mosely of Lizella, Franklin N. (Kim) Mosely of Warner Robins, Stephen D. (Melissa) Mosely of Lizella, six grandchildren; Cathy (Billy) Bailey, Edward (Nikki) Mosely, Misti (John) Sikes, Kelli (Rev. David) Falldine, Franklin Price Mosely, Madelyn Mosely, Makenna Nix, Anson Nix, six great grandchildren, Madison, Joseph, Seth, Tristan, Spencer and Piper, brothers; Guerry (Wilma) Mosely, David (Judy) Mosely, sister; Nancy (Joe) Haselden, sister-in-law; Dixie (John) Shaheen and several nieces and nephews.
