Robert “Rob” Stuart Pluta, 57, died Father’s Day Weekend while on family vacation in Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 3, 2017 in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with full Military Honors. The Rev. John Barichivich will officiate.
Mr. Pluta, son of the late Jean Frances Graham Pluta and Robert John Pluta, was born in South Plainfield, New Jersey. He was an audiologist and a retired Major from the U. S. Air Force after twenty years of service. He was the father of the late Robert “Bobby” Neal Pluta and was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dorothy A. Peterson and James A. Peterson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lillian Kay Peterson Pluta of Corpus Christi, TX; his son, Kristofer “Kip” Ian Pluta of Corpus Christi; his father, Richard John Pluta; his sister, Diane (Jonathan) Pluta Loomis; his sister-in-law, Sue Ann Smith of Macon and brother-in-law, Ed Peterson of Macon.
Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge of arrangements.
