

A Celebration of Life for Rollin Persons Middlebrooks, Jr. will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2025 in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Rev. Russ Criswell will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the donor's favorite charity. The family would like to thank the staff of Capstone Hospice for their sincere care given to Mr. Middlebrooks.
A native of Macon, Rollin was educated in local schools and graduated from Lanier High School, later attending Mercer University and the University of Georgia. He was married to Anne Bailey Middlebrooks for 61 years until her passing in 2012. He was also preceded in death by his son, Rollin Persons Middlebrooks III; grandchildren, Valerie Middlebrooks Dillon and Rollin Persons Middlebrooks IV and daughter-in-law, Deborah Timmis Middlebrooks. Rollin is survived by his daughter, Angela Middlebrooks Harrelson (Sidney); four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Rollin was a devoted member of Tattnall Square Baptist Church since 1940, where he served faithfully as Chairman of Ushers for 35 years, President of the Mary Forrester Sunday School Class for 15 years, and as a Deacon for over 45 years. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tattnall Square Academy (1999–2001). Rollin was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and Shriner.
He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel, and later retired as Assistant Vice President of First National Holding Corp. Rollin was deeply committed to community service as a member of the Exchange Club of Macon since 1994, serving as Club President multiple times and holding leadership roles at the district and national levels. His dedication earned him numerous honors, including National Exchange Club Exchangite of the Year (2006) and Georgia District Exchangite of the Year (2008). He also served as President of the Georgia State Fair (2007–2010) and as Treasurer of the Georgia District Foundation for the Prevention of Child Abuse since 2007, helping raise over $200,000 for child abuse prevention.
Rollin’s life was marked by faith, service, and leadership. He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, church, and community.
