Sara D. Hudson, 87, passed away on February 14, 2011 at her residence. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 11: 00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Herschel Sizemore officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to United Hospice, 2484 Ingleside Ave., Macon GA 31204 or to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 4770 Sardis Church Road, Macon GA 31216.
Mrs. Hudson was born in Thomaston, GA to the late Charlie and Mary Lambert Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dawson C. Hudson. Mrs. Hudson attended Lighthouse Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Griffin of Byron, four grandchildren, Teresa Tompkins of Byron, Rhonda Smith of Byron, Jack Yates, Jr. of Macon, and Jeff Yates of Lizella, ten great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and sister, Addie Mae Rolling of McDonough, GA and several nieces and nephews.
