Russell “Russ” Leonard Watson, 43, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends Friday night from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org or a Marine Corp organization.
Russell was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Willie Watson and Nancy Ellen Jasinski and was preceded in death by his daughter, Kaitlyn Watson. He served in the United States Marine Corp and worked at Geico as a Claims Supervisor. Russell was an avid runner, loved the beach and enjoyed fishing, watching Bulldawgs football, music, and martial arts.
Survivors include his wife, Farrah Guidry Watson; children, Kahea and Jacob Watson and Taylor (Kyle) Morrell; granddaughters, Kennedy and Jaxie Morrell; grandparents, Gordon and Lucy Kirby; brother, Trey (Ashley) Tipton; nieces, Hayley and Peyton Tipton; step-mom, Kathy Corley; step-brother, Marty Rowland; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Reginald and Maelyn Guidry; numerous aunts and uncles; and best friend, Steven Becham.
