A lifelong resident of Macon, she was the daughter of the late Vivian and Jean Roberts, the widow of Edward Darby and long time companion of the late Barry Barton. She attended Clisby Elementary, Central High School and graduated from Dudley Hughes.
Sandy’s memory will be treasured by her sons, Jacob Thad and Anthony Scott Chairmont, sisters, Tonie Roberts Maxwell and Jackie Roberts Railey and a niece, Jodi Maxwell Short.
Sandy was a survivor and throughout many difficulties in life she managed to maintain her faith in God and a love for her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
