Sarah Jane Mickle Bentley, 87, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Noon in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to donor’s favorite charity.
Mrs. Bentley was born in Charlotte, NC to the late Belton E. and Geneva Boulware Mickle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil D. Bentley, her siblings, James Mickle, Ruth Anderson and Tom Mickle. Mrs. Bentley was a graduate of A.L. Miller High School, and attended Mercer University School of Business. She was a member of East Macon Methodist Church and was formerly employed by Cornell Young Company and Sears as an executive secretary. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her two sons; William R. Bentley of Atlanta, and David R. Bentley of Woodstock, and several nieces and nephews.
