Shirley Larsen McLeod, 50, passed away on April 2, 2022. A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Northway Church with the Rev. Phil Anderson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Out of Darkness Middle Georgia, P.O. Box 8987, Warner Robins GA 31095 or Northway Church, Faith for the Future, 5915 Zebulon Road, Macon GA 31210.
Shirley was born in Macon, Georgia and was preceded in death by her husband, Danny McLeod on February 1, 2021. Shirley had a BSN degree and worked as a registered nurse in the beginning of her professional life. After she married Danny, she quit nursing and they were freight brokers for many years. She enjoyed painting the large acrylic paint by number pictures. She loved swimming and all water sports. Her favorite thing to do was to make evangelistic cards containing Scriptures to give out to people in passing as she was out shopping. She wanted everyone to know her Lord and to be with her in Heaven someday.
Shirley is survived by her parents, Gene and Linda Larsen of Macon, brother, Timothy Paul Larsen of Macon, children, William Larsen Vaughn (Haley) of Macon, Sydney Vaughn Schwarz (Michael) of Moultrie, and Wesley Andrew Rowell serving in the Navy and stationed in Virginia.
