Susan Lynn Middlebrooks Sharp, 69, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at First Evangelical Church with Rev. Tim Long officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:30 a.m. to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Evangelical Church, 3601 Fulton Mill Road, Macon GA 31206.
Susan was born in Macon, Georgia to the late James and Velma Hancock Middlebrooks. She was preceded in death by her brother, Chris Middlebrooks. Susan was a dedicated registered nurse for over fifteen years. Susan’s heart was in AA where she served as a loyal sponsor to many people who became her lifelong friends. Susan gives God all the credit, but she did the footwork. She loved the beach, Biloxi, the “Big Book” and the Bible. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Charles “Butch” Sharp of Macon, children, Hannah Avery, Russell (Kayla) Curtis, Jennifer (Casey) Henry, Justin (Kelly) Sharp, brother, Bob (Debbie) Middlebrooks, sister, Vickie Amerson, three grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews, and loving friend, Brandi (Michael) Rodriguez.
