Tina Mann Edwards

GRAY – Tina Mann-Edwards, 51, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 20, 2011. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pastor Ed Chambless and the Tim McCauley will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the funeral home and while flowers are accepted, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Gerald-Verna Ministries, 5305 Rogers Road, Lizella, GA 31052.

Tina grew up in Winter Haven, Florida but had called Georgia home for over thirty-five years. Tina was a kind and loving friend to those that knew her. She was known for her compassionate and giving nature. She loved her life and her family.

Tina truly enjoyed taking care of her animals and her retreat on Plentitude Church Road. She loved fishing and fun in the sun. Tina had exceptional character. She believed in love, loyalty, and hard work. She loved her work-family at the Georgia Neurosurgical Institute.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas E. Mann, Sr. and Joyce Enders Mann, by her sisters, Rene Black and Julie Hollingsworth and by her niece, Tanae “Nae Nae” Hester.

Tina is survived by her husband and soul mate, Don Edwards; her daughter, Samantha Ragan; granddaughters, Destani Mann and Kaiden “Avena” Ragan; three sisters, Belinda Mann (Mike), Gina Edwards (Sam) and Tamara Mann; her brother, Thomas “Bubba” Mann (Cindy), brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe (Mary Ann) Edwards, nephew, MstSgt. Ken Edwards of Afghanistan and many nieces and nephews.

Tina was the matriarch of our family and she will be sadly missed.
