Tommy Lee Hitchcock, 83, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Nall officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Hitchcock was born in Tennille, Georgia the son of the late Annie Eva Shurling Hitchcock and Mark Newman Hitchcock. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Annette Amerson Hitchcock, a brother, Curtis Hitchcock and two sisters, Shirley Sinclair and Tillie Bass. Mr. Hitchcock was retired from Sanco Products and was a United States Navy veteran. He was a member of Lanier Heights Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his son, Bruce Lee (Marsha) Hitchcock of Titusville, FL, daughter, LeeAnn Hitchcock Bates of Macon, four grandchildren, Brad (Paige) Hitchcock, Laura Ryals, Kristy (Jason) Humphrey, and Heather Hitchcock, and five great grandchildren; brothers, Fred, Terry, and Jimmy Hitchcock; sister, Betty Baird; several nieces and nephews.
