Mr. Tommy Riley, 76, died in the early morning hours, Thursday, December 10, 2015, peacefully, at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 12, at 2 o’clock, in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow, in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Phillip Stancil will officiate. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, from 6 until 8 o’clock.
Mr. Riley was born in Enterprise, Alabama to the late Veston and Audrey Lee Willis Riley. He graduated from Jordan High School in Columbus, Georgia in the late 50’s. Mr. Riley retired from Consolidated Freightways Trucking as a supervisor. He attended Friendship Baptist Church at Lake Sinclair, and was a member of the Grand Masonic Lodge (Macon Post #5). Mr. Riley was also a member of the Macon Motorboat Club, and as an avid hunter, a member of the Big Rack Hunting Club. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bobbie Sue Taylor.
Left to carry his legacy are his wife of 58 years, Agnes L. Riley; daughter, Dianne (Danny) Spires; granddaughter, Emily (David) Wooley; grandson, Danny Spires; and a great granddaughter, Ella Kate Wooley.
