

Tressa Yvonne Wright Phillips, age 77, of Macon, Ga, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. She was born on April 10, 1948, in Troup County, Ga to the late, Wallace E Wright Sr and Martha Lee Paine Wright and lived a life centered around her family.
Tressa was the wife of the late Foy Phillips and the loving mother of three children:
Lynn Christian Parsons (Rick), Ronnie Christian, and Wendy Tucker Kirkland(James). She was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, Rick Jr, Amanda, Amy, Jennifer, Kristina, Bubba, Brittany, Chelsie, and Amber and the cherished great-grandmother of twenty-two great-grandchildren, Carson, Landry, Emma Lynn, Linley, Lyndee, Buck, Wilder, Redditt, Christian, Sariyah, Trey, Amara, Sophia, Julian (dec), Kaley, McKenzie, Madison, Breanna, Christopher, Elijah, Emma and Mia. Siblings, Wallace E. Wright, Jr., Deborah Wright Moore and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into every meal, story, and moment shared with them.
Tressa had a passion for cooking and delighted in preparing meals that brought her family and friends together.
She was also known for her gift of storytelling, often sharing wisdom, humor, and memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She was employed at Kroger Grocery Store for more than 15 years from where she retired.
A woman of strong conviction, Tressa was a member of Lizella Baptist Church, where she was baptized in Nov 2020.
She will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was a blessing to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her Mother Martha Paine Wright, Father Wallace E Wright Sr., beloved Uncle William Clayton Wright, Husbands, Ronald Moody Christian, Sr. and Foy Phillips, and great grandson Julian Christian.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Nov 12, 2025 at Lizella Baptist Church, with private burial to follow at Jones Cemetery, LaGrange, Ga.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m prior to the service.
Tressa’s family would like to thank all who have offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
Her legacy of love and faith will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
