MACON – Troy Carroll Sowell, 49, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2:00 PM in the Southside Baptist Church Cemetery in Norman Park, Georgia. The family will greet friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Sowell was born in Homerville, Georgia and had lived in Middle Georgia for most of his life. Mr. Sowell was the son of the late Joe Raymond Sowell.
Mr. Sowell is survived by his wife, Paula Scarbary Sowell of Jones County; daughter, Jessica Sowell of Jones County; son, Troy Clarke Sowell of Jones County; mother, Kelly Sowell of Norman Park, GA; sisters, Zona (Lewis) Medley of Norman Park, GA and Lisa (Neil) Dixon of Haynesville; brother James Wesley (Joan) Sowell of Thomasville; numerous nieces & nephews.
