Truman Lee Harris, age 71, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026. A funeral service celebrating Truman's life will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Snow's Macon Memorial Park, with Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
Born in Adelphi, Maryland, Truman was the son of the late Truman Columbus Sharts and Betty Jean Ressler Sharts. He lived a life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and commitment to his community.
Truman proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). He was also a devoted member of the Presbyterian faith. Throughout his career, he worked as a mail clerk for BB&T and Truist Bank, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and dependable nature.
Above all, Truman cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Harris; his son, Sean Harris; and his sister, Lorri VanDusen. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Lora Lyn Harris, as well as his parents.
Those who knew Truman will remember his quiet strength, loyalty, and the care he showed to family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
