Viola Johnson

Viola Johnson, 83 passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Pine Pointe Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. The family will greet friends on Monday, August 1, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210, Alzheimer’s Association, 277 MLK Jr.Blvd, Macon, GA 31201, American Heart Association, 3312 Northside Drive, A-#140, Macon, GA 31210 or to the Shriners’ Hospitals for Children.org.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Phenix City, AL to the late Arnold Alvin and Fannie Benson Justice. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Watson C. Adkins and Rudolph Johnson, a daughter, Joan Rulapaugh and a sister, Evelyn Flanders. She was a former member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. She loved to sew, enjoyed cooking, gardening, and most of all, she loved her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Shon (Lisa) Johnson of Macon, daughter, Connie (Herman) Cotton, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, brothers, Perry (Mary) Haralson, Lonnie Haralson, Frank (Judy) Haralson, sister, Florence Goff and several nieces and nephews.
