MACON - Virginia A. Stevens, 54, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2P.M. Monday, October 11, 2010 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Joe Bowker will officiate. The family will meet friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Stevens was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Denny and Doris Heinesly Mitchem and was the sister of the late Tommy Mitchem. She was a devoted homemaker who loved working in her yard, helping others and her church family at Berean Baptist Church. Her special love was her grandchildren.
Mrs. Stevens is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, David Stevens; her children, Carrie (Nathan) Fisher of Kathleen and Andrew (Tiffany) Stevens of Macon; four grandchildren; three sisters, Delores Pearson of Warner Robins and Donna Elliott and Sandra (Ray) Ryals, both of Macon, and several nieces and nephews.
