Walter Craig McCroba, DDS, 67, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s. A Celebration of his Life will be held Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Martha Bowman United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Magoni and the Rev. Fran Magoni officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Craig was born in Wellsburg, West Virginia to the late Walter Henry and Clara Thompson McCroba. He was a graduate of Emory University and Emory School of Dentristy. He was a Dentist for over thirty two years in Macon. He served as President of the Central District Dental Society, a member of the Academy of American Dental Association, Trustee of the Georgia Dental Association and was inducted into Pierce Fauchard Academy. Craig was a member of Healy Point and River Forest Golf Courses and enjoyed playing golf. He was a member of Martha Bowman United Methodist Church. Craig was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
He is survived by his beloved wife and caregiver for twenty seven years, Sue S. McCroba of Macon, children, Heather (Wil) Bush of Macon, Ashley (Chris) Harris of Peru, Chris (Leah) McCroba of Forsyth, grandchildren, Lizzie, Laney, Amelia, Aidan, Shane, Brayden, Brooks and Kinsley, brother, Curtis McCroba of Columbus, niece, Kristin McCroba of Columbus, and sister-in-law, Diane Studstill of Macon.
