Mr. Folmar was born in Bromley, Alabama. He was the son of the late Thomas Franklin Folmar and the late Irene McConnell Folmar and the husband of the late Phyllis Fleming Folmar. Mr. Folmar attended the University of Alabama and was a retired auditor for the State of Alabama. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U. S. Army Air Corps. Mr. Folmar was a prisoner of war for 13 months after his B-17 bomber was shot down over Germany. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bay Minette, Alabama and was a member of the DAV. Mr. Folmar was an avid woodworker.
Mr. Folmar is survived by 2 sons; Larry Wayne (Mollie) Folmar of Wetumpka, Alabama, and Kenneth Warren (Sharon) Folmar of Macon, 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a sister; Faye Martin of Bay Minette, Alabama and numerous nieces and nephews.
