Wesley Pope, 43, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 10, at 12 Noon, in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Mr. Mike Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends for an hour prior to the chapel service.
Wesley was born in Macon, Georgia to Dewey Wayne Pope and Vicki Dodd Durden. He attended Central High School and worked for Heavy Duty Distributors, then Piggly Wiggly in his late teens. An accident left him paralyzed since the age of 19. Wesley was full of love and was a supporter of the Locks of Love Foundation.
Survivors include his parents, Vicki (Ray) Durden; father, Dewey Pope; sisters, Tiffini (Danny) Cole, Bonnie Pope; brother, Wesley Durden; grandmother, Audrey Dodd; nieces, Alyson, Katie, Hannah, and Gabbie; nephew, Gavin; and other extended family.
