DRY BRANCH - William Franklin Durden, Sr. passed away August 17, 2010. Funeral services will be held 11A.M. Saturday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum. Pastors Norman Carter and Troy Dykes will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.
Mr. Durden was born in Macon to the late John R. "Pete" Durden and Sarah Morris Durden. He was retired from Armstrong Corp. and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by his daughter Linda Durden Collins and a brother John Richard Durden, III.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Patricia E. Durden of Dry Branch; children, Billy Durden and his wife Jodi of Bolingbroke and Donna D. Avery and her husband Wes of Waldorf, MD; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. -In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
