William Henry Gay, 78, passed away on Saturday, August 03, 2013. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. John Brigmond officiating. The family will meet friends on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to service at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 200 Northside Crossing, Macon, GA 31210.
Mr. Gay was born in McRae, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his sister, Netty May Vaughn. He was retired from the United States Air Force after twenty years of service and was retired from the Medical Center of Central Georgia after twenty years of service. He was a member of Byron Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty seven years, Betty Bohannon Gay of Fort Valley, two sons; William D. Gay of Fort Valley, Richard Gay of Lizella, and daughter; Vickie A. McDonald of Fort Valley, grandchildren; Shawn (Jennifer) Jenson, Ashley (Wesley) Gibson, Nicole Herndon, and Nathan Gay, nine great grandchildren, sister; Onitter Paget and several nieces and nephews.
