LIZELLA - William Anthony "Tony" Lord, 39, died Friday, March 5, 2010 at his residence. A celebration of his life and funeral services will be held at 11A.M., Thursday, March 11, 2010, in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Greg Hudgins, the Rev. Kenny Peters and the Rev. Riley Brown will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 until 8P.M., Wednesday at the funeral home and while flowers are accepted, memorial contributions may be made to Ingleside Baptist Church Youth Ministry, 834 Wimbush Road, Macon, GA 31210.
Mr. Lord, a lifelong resident of this area, was a graduate of Southwest High School and served for two years with the U. S. Army in Operation Desert Storm. He was a driver with Justin Davis Enterprises, Inc. and loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. Mr. Lord was an avid bowler and coached T-Ball and Little League with West Macon Park. He was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and he attended Sunday School. He was a devoted father and son and was most happy when spending time with his children and his family.
He is survived by those he loved most, his children, Ryan A. Lord, Breanna Kae Lord and Trina Amina Lord, all of Lizella and Brandon N. Lord of Macon; his mother and father, Kay M. and Harry W. "Bill" Lord of Lizella; his grandmother, Martha B. Lord of Macon; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
