William "Tommy" Thomas Meeks

William Thomas “Tommy” Meeks, 82, of Macon, Georgia passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snows at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Kim Washburn will officiate. The family will have time of visitation on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. till service time in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.

Born in Sandersville, Georgia, he was the son of the late Willie Thomas Meeks and Dora Sumner Meeks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Fay Chapman Meeks.

Tommy was a retired millwright business agent from the Local Carpenters and Millwrights Union Local # 144. He was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge #430 in Gray where he attained the membership in the Scottish Rite Bodies and the Shrine. Tommy enjoyed being a member of the Classic Car Crew Club and the Moose Club.

Tommy was an avid gardener. He loved to plant something somewhere whether it was crops or flowers. His favorite flower was the daffodil as evident by his yard. He felt everyone around him should plant a garden. He loved to take his produce and share it with friends and family. It was his passion.

He is survived by his children, Darlene Moore(Gerry); grandchildren, Meg Moore, and Trey Moore; great grandchild, Brantley Moore; Step Children, Steve Horne(Kelly), Grandchildren, Stephen Horne, Jr. (Kodie), Kristen Humphrey (Mark), Amanda Smart(Eddie): great grandchildren, Joseph Horne, Caleb Horne, Cooper Humphrey, and Holly Humphrey; Sister, Doreatha Garrett, Nieces, Dorian McEver(Joe), and Dena Brett (Mike).

The family would like to give special thanks to Judy and David Moore for their dedication as friends and caregivers.
