William “Bill” E. Walsh, 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 9, 2017. A Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Dan Entwistle officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 6611 Zebulon Road, Macon GA 31220.
Mr. Walsh was born in Ben Hill County, Georgia to the late Edd Owen and Thelma Patton Walsh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Vining Walsh, siblings, Henry Walsh, Owen Walsh, Pauline Morris, Edna Jo Hillard, Lenoria Smith. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he was involved in Sunday School Class, served as an usher. He was a devoted Christian husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Bill was retired from GEICO after many years of service.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynne Sanders of Milledgeville, son, Stephen (Cindy) Walsh of Moultrie, grandchildren, Taylor Walsh, Connor (Victoria) Walsh, Brooklyn Walsh, and Drew Sanders, brother; Garner (Shirley) Walsh and several nieces and nephews.
