Mr. Wolfgang Bode, passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior, on November 29, 2017, after battling cancer. He was a loving husband, Daddy, Diddy, Grandpa, Poppie, and friend. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 o’clock on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Officiants will be Rev. Greg Harrison, Rev. Phil Bryant, and Rev. Tim Long. The family will greet friends at the church for the hour prior to the service. Flowers are accepted, but donations are encouraged to the following churches: Wesley United Methodist Church on Hartley Bridge, Sandy Valley Baptist in Warner Robins, or First Evangelical Church.
Mr. Bode was born in Bad Oldesloe, Germany to the late Ludwig Alexander and Adelheid Alma Knopke Bode. Wolfgang attended Middle Georgia Technical College after serving in the United States Air Force. He worked in the electronics division of Robins Air Force Base’s Civil Service for 37 years, until his retirement. Mr. Bode was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, and their Men’s Club.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Bode; daughters, Pamela Browning and Debra (David) Brummett; son (grandson), Ryan (Deana) Bode; grandchildren, Michaela, Megan, and Colin Browning; great grandchildren, William Chapman Bode and Walter Ryan Bode.
