David K. Donovan

Born in Salem on October 5, 1936, he was the son of the late Grace and Dr. Charles E. Donovan.

In addition to his wife with whom he shared 53 years of marriage, he is survived by three sons David and his wife Debbie, Paul and his wife Kyle, Peter and his wife Julie, and his loving daughter Marybeth. He is also survived by his brother Charles and his wife Barbara, his sister Judy Delano and her husband Francis, seven grandchildren Dakota, Baylee, Julia, Kylie, Allie, Shea and Matthew, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Grace McCarthy.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11AM at Our Lady, Star of the Sea Church, Marblehead. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours in the Eustis & Cornell Funeral Home 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Friday 4-8 PM. Donations may be made in David's memory to the Our Lady Star of the Sea Church Christian Service, Restoration, or Scholarship Fund.
