Denyse A. Martin

She cherished life with an independent and determined spirit, always putting idle time to good use. She was a loving and devoted mother. Denyse enjoyed interior decorating, summering on Cape Cod, and her intensive daily workouts at the ‘Y’. She was a former Board Member of the Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA. Previously, she was a Vice President of Human Resources at Susan Bristol, Inc. Denyse graduated from Boston College in 1983.

She was the daughter of William and Ann Pirthauer of St. James, NY, the sister of Ms. Dawn Pirthauer of New York, NY, sister-in-law of Craig and Regina Martin of East Falmouth, MA, and sister-in-law of Neil and Susan Martin of North Falmouth, MA.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead on Saturday, April 6 at 10AM. Interment to follow in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Friday from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Denyse’s memory would be greatly appreciated to the “Y for All Campaign”, c/o the Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA, 40 Leggs Hill Road, Marblehead, MA 01945.
