

Earl H. Cone, III, age 77, of Salem, MA, passed away suddenly on January 24, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia and is predeceased by his parents, Earl H. Cone, Jr. and Virginia Crew Cone and his sister Miriam Atkins.
Earl was a college graduate with two Masters Degrees. Earl met his wife of 53 years, Vivian, while traveling in Switzerland in 1962 and they wed in 1964. Earl and his wife moved to Marblehead, MA in 1969, where they grew their family by adopting thirteen children from multiple countries. Earl was a devoted family man who loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren, and especially vacationing in Searsmont, Maine and traveling across the country. He had a keen sense of humor and he loved to follow Boston sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
Earl is predeceased by his son Hai, and he is survived by his wife, Vivian and his children, Chi and his wife Cindy, Duoc, Lynnette Goodrich and her husband Joseph, Diem and her husband Mark Chaklos, Jonathon and his wife Amber, Nicholas and his wife Maura, Trista Christensen and her husband Andrew, Minh and her husband Roy Berroa Hernandez, Chester, Michael, Jeremy and Donte. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joshua, Samantha, Brandon, Khang, Dominique, Alexander, Tyler, Alicia, Kendra, Jovaun, Aydan and Cameron and two great grandchildren, Olivia and Journey. He is also survived by many members of his extended family. Earl will be missed tremendously by his family.
Visitation will be held in the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Monday, January 29 from 4-8PM.
