Joseph Grimmo

Joseph Grimmo, age 82, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was born March 1st, 1941, in Augusta, Sicily, to Gianni Batista and Lucia (Patania) Grimmo.

Joseph leaves behind a humble and admirable legacy as a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a devoted father to Joseph Grimmo of Melrose, Shelia Short and her husband Kevin of North Reading, and Lisa Galante and her husband James of Marblehead He wholeheartedly cared for and was loved by his grandchildren, Dahlia, James, Julius, and Oscar Galante; Nicole Lopes and Kevin Short; and Shea and Erin Grimmo. In addition to his children and grandchildren, Joseph is fondly remembered as the caring brother of Rosa Digrande and the late Carmen and Enzo Grimmo.

Joseph truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with his children and grandchildren on the weekends, running alongside Revere beach each morning, listening to music from his favorite artists like Grace Slick & The Great Society, and reading science fiction/fantasy novels.
