

May Kleinfeld, 98, of Marblehead, died peacefully February 23, 2015 at her home. May was born in New York City in 1916. She was the daughter of Gustave Erik Ruthberg and Hannah (Svensson) Ruthberg of Gavle, Sweden.
At the age of 5 she moved to Spring Valley, New York where she attended The Lakeside School for Girls. It was at Spring Valley High School at the age of 14, she met Bob Kleinfeld, the man she would eventually marry.
May and Bob's relationship was a love affair. During their 59 years of marriage they lived in beautiful places and traveled all over the world. In Marblehead May was the neighborhood birder. She loved dancing the night away with Bob, singing, gardening and her butterflies.
May is survived by her daughter Fran Kleinfeld of New York City, two grandchildren, Kirk and Todd Lawlor of Philadelphia, PA and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Bob in 1999 and her daughter Margaret (Peggy) Kleinfeld in 1998.
