Michael Joseph Patrick Joyce

Michael Joseph Patrick Joyce, 54, of Marblehead, MA, passed away late Thursday evening September 7th. Michael was the husband of wife and best friend, Tracy Joyce. “MJ“ as he was known by his family and friends was a tireless supporter of his children, Michael Harmon Joyce, McKenzie Sullivan Joyce and Montana Solar Joyce. MJ was a graduate from UMASS Boston, and worked in various business sectors for companies such as Mobil Oil, WBCN Radio and WEEI Radio. However, his most rewarding job was his last position working for Marblehead High School. Michael’s greatest achievement was his children: Michael, McKenzie and Montana. Their successes were his pride and joy, and are his legacy. Michael also leaves behind his mother, Anne Marie Joyce, his sisters, Katie Hill and Kristin Charron, and his brothers, John, Mark, and Paul Joyce. Many friends and family survive him. MJ was preceded in death by his father, John F. Joyce.

Graveside Service at Waterside Cemetery, 294 W Shore Dr. Marblehead on Tuesday, September 12th at 11:30am with a Celebration of his life at the Gerry 5 in Marblehead from Noon-2pm. Eulogy and remarks from the family will start promptly at noon. Please bring a story about Michael for the family and a smile. The Joyce Family has set up The Michael Joseph Patrick Joyce Fund, which will be awarded to those student athletes at Marblehead High School who demonstrate empathy towards others in need. In lieu of flowers, The family is requesting donations be made in the name the Michael Joseph Patrick Joyce Scholarship Fund.
