
Phyllis E. (Reiley) LeBlanc, 91, of Topsham, ME, formerly of Marblehead, passed away on September 17, 2010 at the Cadigan Lodge in Topsham. She was the wife of the late George LeBlanc. Born in Amherst, N.S. Canada, she was the daughter of the late William and Greta M. (Tower) Reiley.
Raised in Salem, MA, she was a graduate of Salem High School. Phyllis worked as a bookkeeper for Gilbert and Cole in Marblehead for many years until her retirement in 1984. She enjoyed reading, knitting, and going to the theatre, especially musicals. Her ministries were as a nursery provider and Sunday school teacher to the young at the Marblehead 1st Baptist Church (currently Grace Community Church) for twenty five years. She was also a deaconess for eight years.
She is survived by two brothers, Fred O’Brien and his wife Marie of Union, ME, and William Reiley and his wife Barbara of Alfred, ME; two sisters, Marion Dill and Alfreda “Pat” Tristram both of Canada; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held in the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Thursday, September 23 at 11AM. Burial to follow in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. Visitation will begin at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Grace Community Church, 17 Pleasant Street, Marblehead, MA 01945.
