Thomas P. Meade, 92, of Rowley, formerly of Marblehead, lifelong musician and piano teacher, passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on April 13, 2017. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Laxton) Meade. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late James J. and Catherine (O’Neil) Meade.
Tom is survived by two sons, Peter L. Meade of Manchester, NH and Jeff Meade and his wife Eliza of Merrimack, NH; his life partner of 26 years, Santa Nestor of Rowley; and his grandchildren, Jocelyn Sykes and her husband Edward, and Brenden and Danica Meade. He was also the brother of the late James and Richard Meade.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Thursday, April 20 at 12PM. Burial to follow in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. Visitation will begin at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
