It is with deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our daughter Tracey S. Scott. Tracey left this earth on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the age of 59, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and trusted caregivers who always brought her iced coffee every morning. Tracey had a truly positive attitude about her illness to the very end, to the amazement of all those who knew her and cared for her. She was a bright spirit and a very gifted floral designer, who owned and operated a floral shop, Rose and Thistle Floral Boutique, in Marblehead, MA.
She was born in Winchester, MA on October 6, 1962 to Donald S. Scott and June (Tracey) Scott. At age 4, Tracey and her family moved to Bedford, NH where she grew up in a country setting. This is where her love of gardening and flowers began to immerge. Tracey graduated from Trinity High School in Manchester, NH and the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH. Upon graduation, she decided to become a florist, and attended Rittners School of Floral Design.
She leaves behind her parents, Donald S. Scott of Boston and June Tracey Scott of New Hampshire; her sister Kimberly Scott of Spain; her uncle Richard Tracey and his wife Claire of Billerica, and many loving cousins. Tracey’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the many caregivers who cared and loved her, especially Carley and the hospice team.
Family and friends are invited to attend Tracey’s visitation on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Eustis & Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm St, Marblehead, Massachusetts 01945, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM.
