Alice Beverly Kane, 72, of Marengo Illinois passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 after a brief illness. Alice was born on January 6, 1949 to Myrtle and Edward Rogers in Chicago, Illinois. She married her husband Terrence (Terry) Kane on June 27, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois. Alice lived in Elmwood Park, Illinois for many years before moving to Marengo in 1990.
Alice had many interests, and, thanks to social media, had friends all over the world. Her sense of humor, infectious laugh, and her pure heart will be missed by many. She fostered and adopted many animals, loved dogs, birds and horses, but her true loves were her husband of 51 years Terry and only child Sean. Alice was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marengo, Illinois and often attended Saint Rita Catholic Church in Rockford, Illinois.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother, James Edward Rogers and is survived by her loving husband Terrence Kane, son T. Sean Kane (Heather), sister Mary Rogers Pruter (Michael Robert Pruter (d.)), sister Carla J. Molenkamp, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 323 N Taylor St, Marengo, IL 60152 at 10a.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021.
