Carolyn P. Hansen

Carolyn P. Hansen, 97, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2011, in Woodstock. She was born March 31, 1914, in Elgin and lived in the Norwood Park neighborhood in Chicago for 52 years. On August 3, 1936, she married Leo Hansen and they were blessed with two children, 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter Pamela (Theodore) Voss, grandchildren, Theodore Voss II, Trudy (Steve) Wohnrade, Terri (Steve) Dillon, Timothy (Laurel) Voss, Trina (Ron) Harrelson, Mary Hansen, Rickey Hansen, Ashly Hansen, Tovey Voss, Rebecca Voss, a Godchild, Linda Carol Hansen, a granddaughter-in-law, Catherine Voss, and sister-in-law, Harriet Loberg. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Leo, her son, L. Peter Hansen, her grandchildren, Thomas Voss, Jimmy Hansen, and Tamara Voss, a great-grandson, Theodore Voss III, and a brother, Ernie Loberg. Visitation will be from 10am to the 11am funeral service on Monday, August 22, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 6821 Main St., Union. Interment will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in Chicago.
