David A. Peters

HARVARD – David A. Peters, 67, of Harvard, died Thursday, March 25, 2010, in Scottsdale, Ariz.

He was born Aug. 15, 1942, in Charles City, Iowa, to Lawrence and Helen (Dostart) Peters. On Sept. 1, 1962, he married Louise E. Faber in Morton Grove.

He worked as an account executive for EDS for more than 15 years until his retirement in 1999.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed golf, farming, boating and especially spending time with his family. He and Louise enjoyed wintering in Arizona but made their home on the family farm "David Allen Acres."

He is survived by his wife, Louise; his father, Lawrence Peters; his children, Tim Peters, Julie (Troy) Wancket, Brian (Donna) Peters and Jackie Popadich; his grandchildren, Ashley Peters, Bradley Wancket, Tyler Wancket, TJ Wancket, Shelby Peters, Zachary Peters, Ryan Peters and Brooke Popadich; and his brother, Jon Peters.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Peters.

A memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service at noon Saturday, April 17, at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Highway, Marengo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Please deliver to the funeral home.
