He was born December 28, 1927 in Arlington Heights to Wilhelm and Anna (Fiene) Behn. He was a dairy farmer and then a grain farmer for most of his life. He was a soft-spoken man with a big heart.
He is survived by his cousin, Dorothy Behn; and his caregiver and friend, Debbie Ritter and her children, Andrew, Mikayla, Jason and Matt.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Behn; his parents; his brother, Norman; his niece, Lindsey; and his cousins, Albert and Gilbert Behn.
A graveside service will be at 10am on Wednesday, March 19, at Marengo City Cemetery.
Interment will be in Marengo City Cemetery.
