Gene Moye

He was born October 24, 1946 in Elgin to Bertis and Lorraine (Inman) Moye. On January 22, 1966 he married Frances Thorson in Marengo.

Gene worked as a foreman at the Marengo Foundry for many years. He took great pride in his lawn and keeping his cars clean. He also enjoyed woodworking. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He loved telling a joke, his sense of humor and hearty laugh will be missed by all.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Fran; his loving daughter Kim (Jim) Raabe; his cherished granddaughter, Stephanie Raabe; his dear siblings, Larry Moye, Janie (Tom) Towner, Jim (Sue) Moye, and Terry Moye; his father-in-law, Morry (Linda) Thorson; his mother-in-law, Mary Pufahl; his brother-in-law, Bill (Val) Thorson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Pat Moye.

Visitation will be from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, April 12, at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. The funeral service will be at 3pm.

Inurnment in Sacred Heart Cemetery will be private.
