Gregory A. Vishoot, 53, of Marengo died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at home. He was born April 25, 1960 in Chicago to James and Amelia Vishoot. He married Maria Vieyra on October 14, 1995 in Chicago. He was an avid sports fan and cheered on any Chicago team. He was a great husband and an all-around nice person.
He is survived by his wife Maria; brothers Steven (Lisa) Vishoot, Michael (Donna) Vishoot, Jim (Patricia) Vishoot; God sons Jesse and Danny Gonzalez; God daughters Karina Vieyra, Kristine Gonzalez; nephews, niece and numerous other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial visitation will be from 2-6 pm on Sat, Feb 1 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy. Marengo.
